Bill Henning and his family, Mary and Audrey, raise Certified Animal Welfare Approved by A Greener World (AGW) dairy goats at Honomu Goat Dairy in Honomu, Hawaii. The farm is located midway between the historical town of Honomu and the beautiful Akaka Falls.
Honomu Goat Dairy is home to the St. Isidore herd of registered Nubian goats. The Hennings make a variety of artisan goat’s milk cheeses, as well as goat’s milk soaps under the The Hula Girl Soap Company and goat’s milk confectionaries under the Hula Momma Candy Co. label.
“We have the only herd of registered, purebred Nubian goats producing specialty cheeses in the state of Hawaii,” explains Bill. “It is our goats, in concert with the lush, natural pastures grown on former sugar cane plantation lands, that make our Chevre, our confections and our soaps so special!”
Certified Animal Welfare Approved by AGW goat milk soap, caramels and cheeses from Honomu Goat Dairy are available from the farm and through their online store. To learn more, visit honomugoatdairy.com and find them on Facebook.
